The Return of Mirrored Society

Mirrored Society began as a bookshop focused on artists' books and photobooks.

What started as an interest in photobooks has gradually expanded into an interest in publishing essays on criticism, literature, visual culture, and politics. Photobooks led to photographers. Photographers led to writers. Writers led to larger questions about art, culture, politics, and the ways images shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.

While books remain the foundation, our platform has expanded beyond the medium itself. Mirrored Society will look to publish essays, interviews, reviews, and criticism that engage with art, culture, literature, visual culture, and politics.

The website and social media became quiet for a period. Mirrored Society returns with a renewed commitment to criticism, conversation, and serious engagement with culture.

While the bookshop remains at its foundation, more essays, interviews, reviews, and conversations will follow. And yes, books will be shipped on time.

Mirrored Society is an independent online bookshop specializing in photobooks, journals, rare books, and cultural works.

Founded through a long-standing interest in photography, books, and visual culture, Mirrored Society was created as a place to discover thoughtful and often difficult-to-find publications. The bookstore focuses on new, out-of-print, and rare titles spanning photography, art, literature, politics, design, architecture, and contemporary culture.

We believe books remain one of the most meaningful ways to engage with ideas. Whether through images, essays, criticism, or storytelling, books offer a slower and more deliberate encounter with the world around us.

Mirrored Society is committed to connecting photobook collectors, photographers, artists, and the culturally curious with books that inform, challenge, and inspire.
