The trees described in the article come from my hometown village. Our family has lived
here for generations and experienced five demolition events. My father's construction
team has demolished all the remaining old houses this year, then I chose a date tree
from the ruins and painted it red. My father carried on the original "earth art," and I
completed the final "performance art."
