“I Don't Want to be Funny Anymore” is Vasquez’s first printed collection of photographs, which encompasses an accumulation of photographs, WORDS, notes, capturing various themes of identity. The focus is Latinidad, gender queerness, nostalgia, loneliness, softness, vulnerability, self expression through tattoos, and simply existing.
Alexa Vazquez (they/them) is a working photographer and all around creative in the Inland Empire, and area east of Los Angeles and Orange Counties, within southern California. Their work consists of film photography capturing everyday scenes using cinematic influences.
