OFRENDA by Luis Enrique Aguilar

To access and dialogue with the mystery that lives inside and outside of us the key is the OFFERING. This book was born from a system of practices that has its origins in the original peoples of Mexico, and that have been systematized by "The Art of living on purpose". This practices have as a center of their worldview the relationship with the powers of nature and their objective is to navigate the unknown and the possibilities not explored by human beings, which are limited by their personal history. They are the practices of the recapitulation, the warrior's burial, the confession and the offering on which "OFRENDA" is built. OFRENDA is a NIERIKA of the awakening of memory, to close and open cycles to the shelter of fire and the powers of nature. The photographer Luis Enrique Aguilar integrates photography into his personal practice to make his own offering, at the same time he invites the viewer to ask questions and explore the idea of carrying out his own practices in search of his other self.
